答: 液晶顯示器 (LCD) 是一種光學裝置,通常用在數字物件上顯示 ASCII 字符和圖形,例如手 表、計算器、攜帶式遊戲控制儀,等等。LCD 便是使用於手提電腦和其他小型電腦的技術。 與發光二極管和氣體-等離子技術相仿,LCD 較之陰極射線管技術,能使顯示器變得更薄。 LCD 比大型電子顯示器 (LED) 和氣體顯示器更加節省能源,因為它的使用原則是蔽光而不是 發光。

問: LCD 是如何製造的?

答: LCD 顯示器由兩個玻璃片組成,相互之間相隔几微米。玻璃片鋪上液晶,然後膠合在一 起。上片涂上紅綠藍 (RGB) 圖案,形成顏色過濾片。隨後兩個玻璃片皆黏上偏光片。這種結 合體有時被稱為“鏡片”或“晶胞”。LCD 晶胞配以底部照明、驅動器電子和架片,組裝成 一個“模塊”。
