MAINS SUPPLY

BATTERIES (optional)

•Lift the battery door and insert two alkaline batteries, type R6, UM3 or AA as indicated inside the battery compartment.

–If batteries are incorrectly inserted or exhausted, the OPE/BATT indicator will not light up, or only dimly.

•Remove the batteries if they are exhausted or if the set is not to be used for a long time.

Environmental note

–Please do not dispose of exhausted batteries with your household waste. Handle with care and dispose according to local regulations.

MAINS ADAPTOR (not included)

1.Make sure that the local voltage corresponds to the voltage of a DC 3V adaptor.

Important: The 1.3 mm centre pin of the 3.4 mm adaptor plug must be set to the minus pole –, as indicated under the DC 3V socket ->+.

2.. Connect the mains adaptor to the set’s DC 3V socket and plug the mains adaptor into the wall socket.

RADIO RECEPTION

1.Set the RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF switch to RADIO

– The OPE/BATT indicator lights up.2.Connect headphones to the p socket.3.Set the band selector to AM (MW), FM (mono), or FMST (stereo).4.Select the station using the TUNING control.

To improve reception

AM: Uses a built-in aerial. Turn the set to find the best position.

FM: The headphone lead functions as the FM aerial. Keep it extended and position accordingly.

FM ST: If the FM stereo signal is weak and distorted, set the band switch to the FM position. The programmes will now be monaural, but the noise distortion will be suppressed.

5.Adjust the sound with the VOLUME and DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost) controls.

6.To turn off the set, push the RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF switch to TAPE/RADIO OFF, with no cassette player buttons pressed.

– The OPE/BATT indicator will go out.

ALIMENTAÇÃO

PILHAS DE ALIMENTAÇÃO (opcional)

•Levante a tampa do compartimento das pilhas e insira duas pilhas alcalinas, do tipo R6, UM3 ou AA conforme se indica no interior do compartimento das pilhas.

–Se as pilhas não estiverem correctamente inseridas ou se estiverem gastas, o indicador OPE/BATT não se acende ou apresenta-se apenas obscurecido.

•Retire as pilha se estas estiverem gastas ou se o aparelho não for utilizado durante um longo período de tempo.

Nota sobre o ambiente

–Não deite fora as pilhas juntamente com o lixo doméstico. Manuseie-as com cuidado e deite-as fora observando as regulamentações locais.

ADAPTADOR DE CORRENTE (não incluído)

1.Certifique-se de que a tensão da corrente local corresponde à tensão do adaptador DC 3V (de corrente contínua). Importante: O pino central de 1,3 mm da ficha do adaptador de 3,4 mm deve ser regulado para o pólo negativo –, como se indica por debaixo da tomada DC 3V

->+.

2.Ligue o adaptador de corrente à tomada DC3V do aparelho e insira a ficha do adaptador numa tomada de parede.

RECEPÇÃO RADIO

1.Coloque o interruptor RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF na posição RADIO.– O indicador OPE/BATT acende-se.2.Ligue os auscultadores à tomada p.

3.Coloque o selector de banda na posição AM (ondas médias), FM (mono) ou FMST (stereo).

4.Seleccione a estação utilizando o controlo TUNING (Sintonização).

Para melhorar as condições de recepção

AM: Utiliza a antena incorporada. Rode o aparelho para encontrar a melhor posição de recepção.

FM: O fio dos auscultadores funciona como a antena de FM. Mantenha-o esticado e posicionado correctamente.

FM ST: Se o sinal FM stereo for fraco e apresentar distorções, coloque o selector de banda na posição FM. O som será agora mono, mas as distorções de som serão eliminadas.

5.Ajuste o som utilizando os controlos VOLUME e DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost - Reforço Dinâmico dos Sons Baixos).

6.Para desligar o aparelho coloque o interruptor RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF na posição TAPE/RADIO OFF, não estando premido nenhum dos botões do leitor de cassetes.

– O indicador OPE/BATT apaga-se.

CASSETTE PLAYBACK

1.Set the RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF switch to

TAPE/RADIO OFF.

2.Open the cassette holder and insert a cassette with the open part facing the buttons.

3.Press the cassette holder lightly to shut.4.Connect headphones to the p socket.5.To start playback, press 1 2.–The OPE/BATT indicator lights up.6.Adjust the sound with the VOLUME and DBB controls.7.To fast wind, press 5. To rewind press 6. Press 9 to stop fast winding.8.To reverse the tape direction during playback, press 1 2 DIRECTION.9.To stop playback press 9 and the set is switched off.–The OPE/BATT indicator will go out.

AUTO REVERSE

–The tape direction will be automatically reversed each time the tape reaches the end. Cassette playback continues in this way, unless 9 is pressed or until the batteries are exhausted.

HEADPHONES & HEARING SAFETY

HEARING SAFETY: Listen at a moderate volume to prevent permanent hearing damage.

TRAFFIC SAFETY: Do not use headphones while driving or cycling as you may cause a traffic accident.

MAINTENANCE

•Clean the magnetic head after every 50 hours of operation or, on average once a month, by playing through a cleaning cassette.

•Do not expose the set and cassettes to rain, moisture, sand, or excessive heat e.g. heating equipment, cars parked in direct sunlight.

•Use a soft, slightly dampened chamois leather to clean the housing. Do not use any strong or corrosive cleaning agents such as thinner, benzene, etc. as these may spoil your set.

LEITURA DE CASSETES

1.Coloque o interruptor RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF na posição TAPE/RADIO OFF.

2.Abra o compartimento das cassetes e insira uma cassete com a parte aberta virada para os botões.

3.Prima ligeiramente o compartimento das cassetes até fechar.

4.Ligue os auscultadores à tomada p.5.Para iniciar a leitura, prima 1 2.–O indicador OPE/BATT acende-se.6.Ajuste o som utilizando os controlos VOLUME e DBB.

7.Para bobinar rapidamente para a frente, prima 5. Para rebobinar, prima 6. Para interromper a bobinagem rápida, prima 9.

8.Para inverter o sentido da fita durante a leitura da cassete, prima 1 2 DIRECTION.

9.Para interromper a leitura da cassete, prima 9; o aparelho desliga-se.–O indicador OPE/BATT apaga-se.

INVERSÃO AUTOMÁTICA

–O sentido de leitura da fita é automaticamente invertido sempre que a fita chega ao fim. A leitura da cassete prossegue, a menos que seja premido 9 ou as pilhas se esgotarem.

AUSCULTADORES E SEGURANÇA DA AUDIÇÃO

SEGURANÇA NA AUDIÇÃO: Mantenha o volume de som em níveis moderados para evitar danos auditivos permanentes.

SEGURANÇA NO TRÁFEGO: Não utilize os auscultadores quando conduzir uma viatura ou andar de bicicleta pois pode causar um acidente de viação.

MANUTENÇÃO

•Limpe a cabeça magnética após cerca de 50 horas de funcionamento ou, em média, uma vez por mês, fazendo correr uma cassete de limpeza.

•Não exponha o aparelho nem as cassetes à chuva, humidade, areia ou calor excessivo (por exemplo equipamento de aquecimento ou um carro estacionado sob a luz directa do sol).

•Utilize uma camurça ligeiramente humedecida para limpar a caixa do aparelho. Não utilize agentes de limpeza fortes ou corrosivos tais como diluente, benzeno, etc. pois esses produtos podem danificar o aparelho.

CASSETTE PLAYBACK

AUTO REVERSE

Bånd retningen vil automatisk blive vendt hver gang båndet er spillet ud. Kassette playback fortsætter på denne måde med mindre 9 er trykt ned eller indtil batterierne er brugt op.
