Audio – Analog output

Allows you to set the stereo analog output of your DVD Player.

Stereo

When set to Stereo, the Dolby Digital signals from the disc are downmixed directly into analog stereo from the AUDIO OUT jacks. Use this option when connecting directly to a TV or stereo.

Dolby Surround-compatible

Use this option only when your DVD Player’s AUDIO OUT jacks are connected to a Dolby Pro-Logic decoder.

3D Sound

3D sound provides a virtual surround sound experience using just two speakers. Use this option when connecting directly to a TV or stereo.

If you connect the DVD Player to a PCM compatible receiver via the digital outpu (coaxial or optical) you may need to adjust PCM OUTPUT.

When 48kHz has been selected, 96kHz PCM data, (if available on disc) will be converted to 48kHz.

96 kHz

96kHz PCM audio on non-copy protected DVD discs will be played back at 96kHz. For copy protected discs, the digital output will be downsampled to 48kHz.

Playback Control feature (only for VCD 2.0) can be set to ON or OFF (see page 20 ‘Using the Disc Menu’ ).
