7 Additional information

Update software

For software updates, check the current software
version of this product to compare with the latest
software (if available) at the Philips website.
Caution
Power supply must not be i nterrupte d during soft ware
upgrade.
1 Press SETUP.
2 Select [Preferences] > [Version Info], and
then press OK.
3 Write down the file name , and then press
SETUP to exit the menu.
4 Visit www.phili ps.com/suppor t to check for
the latest softw are version, usi ng the file name
for this product.
5 Refer to the upgrade ins tructions on t he
website for more infor mation.
Note
Disconnect the powe r cord for a few second s and
connect again to tur n on the produc t.

available commerci ally, or anti-s tatic spray s intended
for discs.
Clean discs
Wipe the disc with a micro fibre cleaning cloth from
the centre to the edge in a straight line movement.
Note
Rated DVDs above the leve l you set in [Parental
Control] require a password t o be played.
The ratings are coun try-depe ndent. To allow all d iscs to
play, select ‘8’.
Some discs have ratin gs printed on th em but are not
recorded with rat ings. This fu nction has no ef fect on
such discs.
[PBC]
Turn on or off the content menu of VC Ds/SVCDs
with PBC (playback cont rol) feature.
[On] - Display the i ndex menu when you loa d
a disc for play.
[Off] - S kip the menu and st art play from th e
first track.
[Mp3/Jpeg Nav]
Select to display the folders or display all the files.
[View Files] - Display all the fil es.
[View Folders] - Display the folders of MP 3/
WMA files.
[Password]
Set or change the passwo rd for locked discs and
play restricted DV Ds.
1. Press the Numeric buttons to enter ‘136900 ’ or
the last set passwor d at [Old Password ] field.
2. Enter the new password at [New Password]
field.
3. Enter the new password a gain at [Confirm
PWD] field.
4. Press OK to exit the menu.
Note
If you forget the pass word, enter ‘13690 0’ before you s et
a new password.
