Read and understand all instructions before you use this DVD player. If damage is caused by failure to
follow the instructions, the warranty does not apply.
Risk of electric shock or fire!
Never expose the product a nd accessories to rain o r water. Never place liquid contai ners, such
as vases, near the produ ct. If liquids are s pilt on or into the produc t, disconnect it fr om the power
outlet immediately. Contact Philips Consumer Care to have the product checked before use.
Never place the product and a ccessories near naked flame s or other heat sources, in cluding
direct sunlight.
Never insert object s into the ventilation slot s or other openings on the pro duct.
Where the mains plug or an ap pliance coupler is used as th e disconnect device, th e disconnect
device shall remain readily operable.
Disconnect the produc t from the power outlet befor e lightning storms.
When you disconnect the power co rd, always pull the plug, ne ver the cable.
Risk of short circuit or fire!
Before you connect the prod uct to the power outlet, e nsure that the power volta ge matches
the value printed on the back of t he product. Never con nect the product to th e power outlet if
the voltage is differen t.
Never expose the remote cont rol or batteries to r ain, water or excessive hea t.
Avoid force coming onto power plugs. Lo ose power plugs can cause arcin g or fire.

Do not touch the disc optical le ns inside the disc compar tment.
Never place the product or any ob jects on power cords or on oth er electrical equ ipment.
If the product is trans ported in temper atures below 5°C, unpack t he product and wait unt il its
temperature matches r oom temperature befo re connecting it to the powe r outlet.
Risk of overheating!
Never install this produ ct in a confined space. Alway s leave a space of at least four inche s
around the product for vent ilation. Make sure that cur tains or other objec ts never cover the
ventilation slots on the product.
Risk of contamination!
Remove the battery if i t is exhausted or if the rem ote control is not to be used for an ex tended
period of time.
Batteries contain c hemical substances , they should be disposed of pr operly.
Risk of swallowing batteries!
The product/remot e control may contain a coin ty pe battery, which can b e swallowed. Keep
the battery out of rea ch of children at all times!
