If you have problems using this player, check the following points before you request service. If you still
have a problem, register your player and get support at www.philips.com/welcome.
If you contact Philips, you will be asked for the model and serial number of this player. The model
number and serial number are on the back of this player. Write the numbers here:

No picture.
Refer to the TV user manual for h ow to select the correc t video input channel .
Switch to the default mode if th e progressive scan set ting or the TV syste m setting is changed.
No sound output from the TV.
Make sure that the audio cab les are connected to the au dio input sockets that ar e grouped with
the selected video inpu t sockets.
No sound during DivX video playback.
The audio codes are not suppo rted.
Disc or USB storage device cannot be read.
Make sure that this player supp orts the disc or USB s torage device. (Refer t o “ Specifications” >
Playable media”)
For a recorded disc, make sur e that the disc is finalized.
Recorded files (JPEG, MP3, WMA) cannot be played or read.
Make sure that the file was r ecorded in the format of UD F, ISO9660, or JOLIET.
Make sure that the number of fil es does not exceed the limit ation (648 files maximum).
Make sure that this player suppo rts these files. ( Refer to “ Specifications” > “Playable media”)
DivX video files cannot be played.
Make sure that the DivX video fil e is complete and the file ex tension is correct .
DRM-protected vi deo files that are store d on a USB flash drive cann ot be played through an
analog video connectio n (for example, composite , component, and scar t). Transfer the video
content onto a supported discto play these files.
DivX subtitles are not displayed correctly.
Make sure that the subtitl e filename is the same as th e video filename.
Make sure that the DivX video file a nd the subtitle file are sa ved under the same direc tory.
Select the charact er set that support s the subtitle. (Refer t o [Preferences] > [DivX Subtitle])
