Important

Before using for the first time, check if the dustbag is placed correctly.

In the hand grip, in the hose and in the electric power brush are electrical conductors.

To prevent disfunctioning:

-Do not clean these items with water.

-Do not vacuum in sharp objects.

-Regularly check the hose and the hand grip for damage.

-Replace a damaged hose or hand grip immediately.

Never suck up water (or any other liquid). Never pick up ashes until they are cold.

When picking up fine dust, the pores of the dustbag may become clogged. This will obstruct the air passage.

Subsequently, the dustbag needs replacement, although the bag might be far from full.

Only use this vacuum cleaner with

the original paper dustbags type Philips Oslo+ or Oslo+ Hygiene (closeable).

Never use the vacuum cleaner without the Active Carbon filter and/or the dustbag!

Getting the vacuum cleaner ready for use:

Connecting the hose: press firmly ("Click!")

(fig. 1).

-To disconnect: press the knob (1) and pull

(2) the hose out of the vacuum cleaner (fig. 2).

-To connect the nozzle, the (telescopic) tube and the handgrip: insert the narrow section into the wider section while turning it a little (fig. 3).

-To disconnect: pull the narrow section out

of the wider section while turning it a little.

To adjust the telescopic tube to the required length: grasp the plastic ring and pull out the upper tube as far as necessary (fig. 4). Lock the telescopic tube in position by releasing the plastic ring.

Nozzles:

-Combi nozzle. This nozzle is convertible for use on either carpets (without brush,

fig. 5) or hard floors (with brush, fig. 6);

-Small nozzle, brush nozzle and crevice nozzle. These can be found in the special storage compartment (fig. 7-11);

Pull the mains plug out of the vacuum cleaner (fig. 12) and insert into the wall socket.

Press the on/off switch (I) (fig. 13). Pilot light “STAND BY” comes on.

The remote control enables you to adjust suction power from the hand grip (fig. 14). In the STAND BY position, the appliance is switched on but not running. If you reactivate the vacuum cleaner from STAND BY position, it will start to run at the lowest suction power. Push the control slide towards MAX until the required suction power has been reached.

Medium suction power is advisable for general use.

Minimum suction power is advisable for dusting using the brush nozzle and for cleaning curtains, cloths, etc.

Maximum suction power is advisable for cleaning very dirty carpets and hard floors.

Insufficient suction power?

Please check:

-if the control on the hand grip is in the required position;

-if the dustbag is full;

-if the nozzle, tube or hose is blocked up. To remove the obstruction, disconnect the blocked-up item and connect it (as far as possible) in adverse position. Then the air will stream through the item in opposite direction.
