Ifthe outer bulb is brokenor punctured,turn off at

notscratch the outer bulbor subject it to pressure
asthis could cause the outerbulb to crack or shatter.
Apartialvacuum in the outerbulb may cause glass
tofly if the envelopeis struck.

LAMPOPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS:
1.At highlighting levels or when illuminatinglight-sensitive
materialsthe use of an extraUV filter is recommended.
2.Beforelamp installation/replacement,shut poweroff and
allowlamp and fixtureto cool to avoid electricalshock and
potentialburn hazards.
3.Timeshould be allowedfor lamps to stabilize in color
whenturned on for the firsttime.This may require several
hoursof operation,with more than one start.Lamp color
isalso subject to changeunder conditions of excess
vibrationor shock,and color appearance mayvary
betweenindividuallamps.
4.Lampsmay require up to 10 minutesto re-light if there
isa power interruption.
5.Do not operatewith an additional ballast,since a ballast
isintegrated in the lampitself.
6.Do not usein totally enclosed recessed fixtures.
7.Takecare in handlingand disposing of lamps.If an
arctube is broken,avoid skincontact with any of the
contentsor fragments.
8.Lamp shouldnot be used with dimmers.
9.Protectlamp, lamp socketand wiring against moisture,
corrosiveatmosphereand excessive heat.Lamp should
beused in dry locations only.
Theselamps may be usedin open fixtures.
