SHIFT KEY FOR EXTRA FUNCTIONS
Some equipment has more functions than are available here.
With the SHIFT button you can operate some extra functions of your equipment. Hold SHIFT while pressing another button:
SHIFT - a + /a | Change colour, |
SHIFT - P+ / | Change brightness. |
Try the other SHIFT keys to discover other functions of your equipment.
BATTERIES
Insert the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment (rear of remote). Only use batteries of type R03, UM4 or AAA. Replace the batteries when required, or at least once a year.

SETTING UP BY CODE ENTRY
Before you set up the SBC RU 252 to operate your equipment, look up the first code for your equipment in the brands list.
1.Press TV or VCR/DVD to select the device.
2.Press and hold 1 and 3 at the same time for 3 seconds.
–The indicator LED lights up.

–Press buttons on the SBC RU 252 to check that the code works on your equipment. If it does, write down this code inside the SBC RU 252's battery lid.
–If the equipment does not respond correctly, try the next code from the code list until the equipment works properly.
–If none of the listed codes work, go to Chapter SETTING UP BY AUTOSEARCH
–Repeat steps 1 to 3 for every piece of equipment you want to operate.
SETTING UP BY AUTOSEARCH
Before you start, make sure the equipment is ready to receive
Before setting up a VCR, insert a tape and start Playback.
1.Press TV or VCR/DVD to select the device.
2.Press and hold 1 and 3 at the same time for 3 seconds.
–The indicator LED lights up.
3.Press Power y to start the search.
–Every time the LED lights, another code is tested. When the right code for your device is found,
the equipment (TV) switches off, or the VCR/DVD stops playing. Immediately proceed with step 4.
4.Press Power y twice to lock the code.
–The indicator LED blinks twice to indicate successful
Notes
–Turn on the equipment again and press the SBC RU 252's buttons to see if they are working as expected. Some codes are quite similar.
If your equipment does not respond correctly, repeat steps 1 to 4 to find a better code.
–Maximum search time is 8 minutes for TV and 4 minutes for VCR/DVD.
