1Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track currently playing.
2Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack.
1 Inserta CD into the CD loading slot.
Playbackwill automatically start.
CDloading slot
#Youcan eject a CD by pressing CD EJECT.
2 Aftera CD has been inserted, press
SOURCEto select the built-in CD player.
3 UseVOLUME to adjust the sound level.
Whenyou press VOLUME up/+, the volume is
raisedand when pressed down/, the volume
islowered.
4 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pressand hold cor d.
5 Toskip back or forward to another
track,press cor d.
Pressingdskips to the start of the next track.
Pressingconce skips to the start of the cur-
renttrack. Pressing again will skip to the pre-
vioustrack.
Notes
!Thebuilt-in CD player plays one, standard, 12-
cmor 8-cm (single) CD at a time. Do not use
anadapter when playing 8-cm CDs.
!Donot insert anything other than a CD into
theCD loading slot.
!Ifyou cannot insert a disc completely or if
afteryou insert a disc the disc does not play,
checkthat the label side of the disc is up.
PressCD EJECT to eject the disc, and check
thedisc for damage before inserting the disc
again.
!Ifthe built-in CD player does not operate prop-
erly,an error message such as ERROR-11
maybe displayed. Refer to Understanding
built-inCD player error messages on page
17.
Playing tracks in a randomorder
Randomplay lets you play back tracks on the
CDin a random order.
1 Press4 to turn random play on.
RDMappears in the display. Tracks will play in
arandom order.
2 Press4 to turn random play off.
Trackswill continue to play in order.
Repeating play
Repeatplay lets you hear the same track over
again.
1 Press5 to turn repeat play on.
RPTappears in the display. The track currently
playingwill play and then repeat.
