Theseare the basic steps necessar y to play an
MP3/WMA/AAC/WAVwith your built-in CD

1MP3/WMA/AACindicator
Showsthe type of file currently playing.
2Foldernumber indicator
Showsthe number of folder currently play-
ing.
3Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack (file).
4Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track (file) currently playing.
1 InsertaCD-ROM into the CD loading
slot.
Playbackwill automatically start.
CDloading slot
#Youcan eject a CD-ROM by pressing
CDEJECT.
2 AfteraCD-ROM has been inserted,
pressSOURCE to select the built-in CD
player.
3 UseVOLUMEto adjust the sound level.
Rotateit to increase or decrease the volume.
4 Pressaorbto select a folder.
#Youcannot select a folder that does not have
anMP3/WMA/AAC/WAV file recorded in it.
#Toreturn to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND.However, if folder 01 (ROOT) contains no
files,playback commences with folder 02.
5 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pressand hold cor d.
#Ifyou select Rough, pressing and holding c
ordenables you to search every 10 tracks in the
currentfolder. (Refer to Selecting the search meth-
odon page 26.)
6 Toskip back or forward to another
track,press cor d.
Pressingdskips to the start of the next track.
Pressingconce skips to the start of the cur-
renttrack. Pressing again will skip to the pre-
vioustrack.

!Whenplaying discs with MP3/WMA/AAC/
WAVfiles and audio data (CD-DA) such as
CD-EXTRAand MIXED-MODE CDs, both types
canbe played only by switching mode be-
tweenMP3/WMA/AAC/WAV and CD-DA with
BAND.
!Ifyou have switched between playback of
MP3/WMA/AAC/WAVfiles and audio data
(CD-DA),playback starts at the first track on
thedisc.
!Thebuilt-in CD player can play back an MP3/
WMA/AAC/WAVfile recorded on CD-ROM.
