Adjustment Procedure Remarks

Press the PLAY SW and adjust so that the reading becomes3010Hza10Hz. Confirm that wow & flutte! level is below 0.270(in the reverse direction, confirm that the reading is within 3010H2 t 60Hz).

!Electrical Adjustment

Checkthe tollowing beforestarting.

1.Confirm that the tape speed adjustment has been completed.

2.Cleanthe headsand demagnetizethem using a head eraser.

3.Setthe measurementlevelto 0 dBV = I Vrms.

4.Usethe specifiedtapefor adjustmentUse.the labeled

(A) sideof the test tape.

6.Adjust both right and left channels unless otherwise specified.

7.Tum the DOLBY NR switch off unless otherwize specified.

8.Warm up the unit fgr severalminutes beforeadjustment. In particular, be sure to wartn up the unit in the REC/PLAY mode for 3 to 5 minutes before starting recordingT/playback frequency characteristics adjust- ment.

9.Always follon'the indicated adjustment order. Otherwise,a completeadjustment may not be achieved.
