Chapter2 Hardware Installation

1.Make sure the power is OFF, then connect printer to the Print Server's printer port.

2.Connect the LAN cable to the RJ-45 port of the Print Server.

3.Connect the other end of the LAN cable to a switch or your PC directly.

4.Connect the supplied Power Adapter.

5.Please make sure the LAN LED is light on.

NOTE1: The wireless interface of FPS-1010G is “Disabled” by default. If you want to activate wireless interface, please refer to section 7.10 Wireless to know more information for how to setup wireless interface.

NOTE2: MUST use the power adapter shipped with the print server, do NOT use any other power adapter from any sources.

NOTE3: To prevent the compatibility problem between print server and a few printer, it is recommended that you power on the print server before the printer.

NOTE4: Please be sure your printer is not a host-base printer. This kind of printer must be connected to a PC directly, so they cannot work with Print Server. You may check the printer specification or the GDI Printer List in our bundle CD to know this printer can work with FPS-1010G or not.
