Caring for Your LSiM Loudspeakers

Enclosure Finish

Your LSiM enclosures (except LSiM702f/x) are finished

in real natural wood veneer. Clean these panels periodically with a soft cloth and furniture polish to remove dust and fingerprints. Never use harsh detergents and cleaning fluids.

Important Note: Do not use any petroleum based cleaners or solvents on the loudspeaker cabinets.

Clean wood panels with furniture polish and a soft cloth.

Do not use furniture polish on black gloss lacquer.

Clean black lacquer veneer with a damp cloth.

Baffle Smudges

Dust baffles and F/X end caps with a dry or damp cloth. (A damp cloth is one that has been sprayed with a recommended cleaner, not one soaked with water.) We recommend you use a lint-free cloth; LSiM rubber trim rings have a slight texture to them and can collect fibers from a cloth that is not lint-free.

Dusting The Baffle

Use a can of compressed air for the grille and/or baffle to dust. Use a “computer keyboard” vacuum but only on the grille not the baffle.

LSiM specifications

Polk Audio has long been synonymous with quality sound reproduction, and the LSiM series stands as a testament to this reputation. Known for their innovative engineering and exceptional sound quality, the LSiM speakers are designed to cater to audiophiles and casual listeners alike, delivering a rich and dynamic audio experience.

One of the main features of the LSiM series is its use of advanced materials and technologies, which include the use of Dynamic Balance drivers. This unique driver technology enables the speakers to minimize distortion while maximizing transparency and sound detail. The LSiM speakers are equipped with a 1-inch ring radiator tweeter and a specially designed 5.25-inch midrange driver. This combination ensures that high frequencies are crisp and clear, while midrange sounds are natural and warm, providing a well-balanced audio performance across genres.

Another standout characteristic of the LSiM series is its construction quality. The cabinets are meticulously engineered using high-quality materials that help reduce resonance and ensure durability. The curved design not only contributes to aesthetics but also aids in the dispersion of sound, resulting in a wider sweet spot for listeners. Each speaker comes with a rear-firing bass port that enhances low-frequency response, allowing for deeper bass without compromising clarity.

Polk Audio has also integrated its patented Power Port technology in the LSiM speakers. This technology effectively extends the low-end frequency response while eliminating turbulence and distortion caused by traditional port designs. The result is an impressive bass output that remains tight and controlled, perfect for both music and home theater applications.

The LSiM series offers versatility in terms of speaker configuration. Available in various models, including floor-standing, bookshelf, and center channel options, these speakers can be mixed and matched to create a custom sound system that fits any space. Their aesthetic appeal is further enhanced by a modern and elegant finish, making them a stylish addition to any room.

In conclusion, the Polk Audio LSiM series combines advanced technologies with superior craftsmanship to deliver an unparalleled listening experience. Whether for a high-end home theater setup or everyday music enjoyment, the LSiM speakers promise to provide an immersive soundstage and exceptional audio fidelity, making them a remarkable choice for anyone seeking quality sound in their home.
