Making toast

1.Plug the toaster into a 110/120V-power outlet and turn the power on.

2.The toaster will only latch down when the cord is plugged in and the power turned on.

3.To toast, set the toasting control to the desired setting (1 is the lightest setting and 5 is the darkest setting) before engaging the toast lever. For frozen bread, set the toasting setting to (y) defrost setting before engaging the Toast lever.

Warning:Toasting performance will vary with the type of bread, especially bread that contains higher sugar contents, e.g. fruitbread. For these kinds of bread the toasting setting must be reduced.

4.Place bread in slot(s) and lower the toast lever until it engages or locks in. NOTE:The toast lever will not engage if the toast control dial is in the (0) OFF / cancel position or if the toaster is unplugged from the power supply. After the selected toast colour has been achieved, the toast will pop up automatically, ready for removal from the slots.

5.To immediately stop the toasting process at any time, lift the toast lever up lightly. In addition, you can also use the control dial and turn to (0) OFF position.

If the toast gets stuck in the bread carrier and will not pop up, the auto-cancel circuit shuts off the heating elements automatically. Unplug the toaster and carefully remove the toast once the unit has cooled down.Take care not to damage the internal element of the toaster.

6. Remove the plug from the outlet.

CAUTION: Do not wrap the cord around the main body of the toaster during or after use.The cord wrap (storage) facility is located

on the underside of the toaster.
