CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENTS

Carburetor adjustment is cri tical and if done
improperly can permanently damage your
unit. Werec ommend you contact an Autho-
rized Service Dealer for adjustments.
IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT: Turn the Idle
Speed Screw clockwise until it stops. Now
turnthe s crewcount erclockwise 4-1/2 turns.
This should allow the engi ne to run without
the chain turning. If the chain moves at idle
speed, do not use your unit. Contact an Au-

rect when engine runs without stalling and
chain does not turn.
MIXTURE ADJUSTMENTS: If your carbu-
retor includes limiter caps (Plastic caps on
themix ture screws) , do not force the screws
beyond the stops of the limiter caps or dam-
age will occur. Do not remove these caps.
Small adjustments will affect your unit. Do
not adjust more than 1/16th turn without
checking performance.
