SIfchain is too tight, turn adjus ting screw 1/4
turn counterclockwise.
SIf chain is too loose, turn adjusting screw
1/4 turn clockwise.

SLift up the tip of the bar and tighten the
chainbrake nuts sec urely with the bar tool.
SRecheck chain tension.

NOTE:The chain is tensioned c orrectly when
theweight of t he chain does not cause i t to sag
below the guide bar (with the chain saw sitting
inan upri ght position), but the chain still moves
freely around the guide bar.
WARNING: I f the saw is operated
with a loose chain, the chain could jump off the
guidebar andres ult in serious injury to t he op-
erator and/or damage the chain making it un-
usable. If the chain jumps off the guide bar, in-
spect each drive link for damage. Damaged
chain must be repaired or replaced.
