IMPORTANTPOINTS TO REMEMBER

Whenpulling the starter rope, do not use the
full extent of the rope as this can c ause the
rope to break. Do not let starter rope snap
back. Hold the handle and let the rope re-
wind slowly.
For cold weather starting, start the unit at
FULLC HOKE; allow the engine to warm up
before squeezing the throttle trigger.
NOTE: Do not attempt to cut material with
thechoke/fast idle lever in the FULL CHOKE
position.
HELPFUL TIP
Ify our engine still does not
start after following these
instructions, please call

DIFFICULTSTARTING (or starting a

floodedengine)

The engine may be flooded with too much
fuel if it has not started after 10 pulls.
Flooded engines can be cleared of excess
fuel by pushing the choke/fast idle lever in
completely (to the OFF CHOKE position)
andt hen following the warm engine starting
procedure listed above. Ensure the ON/
STOP switch is in the ON position.
Startingcould require pulling the starter rope
handlemany times depending on how badly
theunit is flooded. If engine fails to start, refer
tothe TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE or call

CHAIN BRAKE
WARNING: I f the brake band is worn
too thin it may break when the chain brake is
triggered. With a broken brake band, the chain
