ON/STOP SWITCH

The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.

THROTTLE TRIGGER

The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.

THROTTLE LOCK--OUT

The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed before you can squeeze the throttle
trigger. This feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing the trigger.

FAST IDLE LOCK

TheFAST IDLE LOCK holds the throttle trigger
in the starting position. Activate the fastidle
lock by pressing the throttle lockout and
squeezing the throttle trigger. With the throttle
trigger squeezed, press the fast idle lock. Re-
leasethe throttle l ockout and trigger whilehold-
ing the fast idle lockbutton.

CHOKE KNOB

The CHOKE KNOB activates the choke to
provideadditional fuel t o the engine during cold
starting.

PRIMER BULB

The PRIMERBULB circulates fuel to the car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.

CHAIN BRAKE

The CHAIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manually
if the front hand guard is pushed forward. The
chain brake isdisengaged by pulling the front
handguard back toward the front handle as far
as possible.

CHAIN TENSION

Itis normal for a new chain to stretch during fi rst
15 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLYsection.
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ingand aft er use. Do not t ouch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
