Tie Cabinet Installation

The Powerware 9355 has the following power connections:

S3-phase (L1, L2, and L3), neutral, and ground connection for rectifier/bypass input

S3-phase (L1, L2, and L3), neutral, and ground connection for load output The nominal input/output voltages are:

S120/208 or 127/220 Vac

Output overcurrent protection and disconnect switch must be provided by others.

Figure 9 and Figure 11 beginning on page 15 show the oneline diagrams.

Only qualified service personnel (such as a licensed electrician) should perform the UPS installation and initial startup. Risk of electrical shock.

To hardwire the Tie Cabinet:

1.Verify that the electrical connections to the installation site have been properly installed.

2.A wall-mounted, user-supplied, readily-accessible disconnection device must be incorporated in the input wiring.

Compare the circuit breaker ratings to the ones in Table 1 on page 11.

NOTE To accommodate the feature of easy system expandability, it is recommended that initial installation of the Powerware 9355 UPS contain wiring to support the maximum capacity of the UPS cabinet.

3.Switch off utility power to the distribution point where the Tie Cabinet and UPSs will be connected. Be absolutely sure there is no power.

4.Determine your equipment’s grounding requirements according to your local electrical code.

Powerware 9355 specifications

The Powerware 9355 is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to provide continuous and reliable power protection for critical systems in various environments, including data centers, telecommunications, and industrial applications. This UPS model is renowned for its robust features, advanced technologies, and remarkable characteristics, making it a preferred choice for businesses requiring uninterrupted power supply.

One of the standout features of the Powerware 9355 is its double-conversion architecture. This technology ensures that the output power is continually conditioned and isolated from the input power fluctuations. By converting incoming AC power to DC and then back to AC, the UPS effectively eliminates any disturbances, providing clean and stable power to sensitive equipment. This is particularly critical in environments where even brief power interruptions can lead to data loss or system failures.

The Powerware 9355 is designed with a modular and scalable architecture, allowing organizations to customize their power solutions based on current and future needs. This flexibility enables users to start with a lower capacity and expand by adding additional units or redundancy, ensuring that the system can grow in line with the organization’s increasing power demands.

Efficiency is another key characteristic of the Powerware 9355. With its high-efficiency operation, the UPS minimizes energy consumption, resulting in reduced operational costs and a smaller carbon footprint. Many models include energy-saving features such as an eco-mode, which allows the UPS to operate in a more efficient state during certain conditions while still providing the necessary power protection.

The Powerware 9355 also offers user-friendly management features, including an interactive LCD interface that provides real-time data on the UPS status, including input and output voltages, frequency, load percentage, and battery health. Additionally, remote monitoring capabilities allow users to manage and monitor their UPS systems from anywhere, enhancing operational efficiency and power management.

Durability and reliability are fundamental to the design of the Powerware 9355. It is built with high-quality components that enhance its lifespan and performance, ensuring that users have a dependable source of power during critical moments. With a strong focus on redundancy, the UPS includes features such as hot-swappable batteries, reducing downtime during maintenance.

In conclusion, the Powerware 9355 stands out as a high-performance, versatile UPS solution that integrates advanced technologies, efficiency, and user-centric features. Its double-conversion architecture, modularity, high efficiency, and robust management capabilities make it an ideal choice for organizations looking to ensure continuity and reliability in their power supply.
