During each use of the popper, we ask that you do the following:

a.Check that the microwave oven is clean and free of food/grease residue according to manufacturer’s instructions.

b.Remain near the microwave oven during the popping period.

c.Look through the window of the microwave oven throughout the popping period.

d.If you notice anything unusual (e.g., a peculiar odor, sparking etc.), immediately turn off and unplug your microwave oven. Leave the microwave oven door closed. If you notice anything unusual about the PowerPop® microwave popper, please call the Presto Consumer Service Department at 1-800-877-0441. If there is a problem relating to the function of your microwave oven, please call an authorized service center identified by the microwave oven manufacturer.

Before using your Presto® PowerPop® multi-popper, study the diagram below to become familiar with the various parts of the unit and read the instructions carefully. Before initial use and after each subsequent use, remove the popping bowl from the PowerBaseconcentrator by rotating the bowl either clockwise or counterclockwise until the locking tabs on the bowl are no longer aligned with the locking tabs

on the base. Lift the popping bowl off the

base and wash the bowl and cover in warm, sudsy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly, or

wash in the dishwasher. Do not immerse the PowerBaseconcentrator in water. Wipe the PowerBaseconcentrator with a damp cloth to clean.

Replaceable PowerCup®

Concentrators

The Presto® PowerPop® microwave multi- popper is the first microwave popper that really works. Its secret is the combination

of the permanent PowerBaseconcentrator with the replaceable PowerCup® concentra-

tor. Apart, neither pops corn well; together, however, they pop corn superbly. Although

the PowerCup® concentrator is a disposable part, it is designed for multiple uses. The number of uses will vary from microwave to microwave with up to 12 batches when using the popper with oil and up to 24 batches when using the popper without oil. You will know it is time to replace the concentrator when either you are getting more unpopped kernels than usual or if the top layer of the concentrator is cracked or torn. For more information on the use and care of the PowerCup® concentrator, see pages 4 and 5.

There is a package of PowerCup® concentrators packed inside your popper. Additional packages should be available wher- ever the poppers are sold. You may also order them by calling the Presto Consumer Service Department at 1-800-877-0441.

Important: Use only genuine Presto® PowerCup® concentrators. Use of any other concentrator or microwave crisp- ing paper will damage your Presto® PowerPop® multi-popper and void its warranty. You will know the concentrator is genuine by the target on its face.

How To Use

Follow these easy steps:

Step 1 Attach the popping bowl to the PowerBaseconcentrator by positioning the popping bowl locking tabs in the grooves on the PowerBaseconcentrator, Fig. A. Rotate the popping bowl clockwise or counter-clockwise until it locks into place. The bowl’s tabs will be underneath the base’s locking tabs.

Step 2 Place a Presto® PowerCup® concentrator in the popping bowl. Be certain you are using only one concentrator (concentrators may occasionally stick together). Push it down, so it is seated tightly against the bottom of the inside of the popping bowl. Important: Use only genuine Presto® PowerCup® concentrators. Use of any
