Temperature and Steam Settings

Temperature Control Dial

The Temperature Control Dial of your iron has fabric settings, dots, and steam symbols.

a)Some fabric settings are indicated from lowest to highest temperature.

b)The dots are International symbols for 3 temperature ranges:

Low Temperature – synthetics (nylon, acetate)

•• Medium Temperature – silk/wool/acrylic

••• High Temperature – cotton/linen/rayon/polyester

These dots correspond to international recommendations for safe pressing temperatures. Fabrics are typically labeled with the dots on garment care tags. They are a guide for selecting the proper ironing temperature setting.

c)The steam symbols are used for selecting steam settings. Steam should only be used at the high temperature setting.

Adjustable Steam Dial

When steam is desired, you can choose the level of steam that best suits your fabric.
