INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

7.The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
8.Do not use outdoors.
9.Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
10.Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11.Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
12.Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
13.Do not use appliance unattended.
14.During use, provide 4 to 6 inches air space above, behind, and on both sides for air circulation.
15.Never remove the waffle with any kind of cutting device or other metallic kitchen utensil.
16.Always allow the appliance to cool before putting it away, and never wind the cord around the appliance while it is still hot.

How to use
wCAUTION Burn Hazard.
Always use an oven mitt to protect hand when opening a hot waffle baker. Escaping steam can burn.
BEFORE FIRST USE: Wipe the bottom and top cooking grids with a soapy, damp cloth. Rinse cloth; then wipe grids again. Wipe or brush waffle grids with vegetable oil. This is only recommended before first use. Waffle browning will improve with each subsequent batch.
1.Plug cord into electrical outlet. The red Power light will glow.
2.Preheat with cover closed until the green Preheat light comes on.
3.Press cover lock to unlock cover,
raise cover, and pour about 1⁄4 cup
(60 ml) batter onto the center of each cooking grid. Close cover and lock. The green Preheat light will cycle on and off during cooking.
NOTE: The waffle baker will use a total of 1⁄2 cup of batter.
4.Waffles are done in about 5 minutes, depending on the recipe or when steaming begins to stop. Remove waffle with plastic or wooden utensil. Never use metal. This will damage the nonstick coating of the appliance.
5.Unplug unit when through cooking. Let cool.
Power and Preheat lights
The red Power light comes on when the appliance is first plugged in. This light will stay on until the unit is unplugged.

This warranty applies to products purchased in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 180 days from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use.
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other legal rights that vary depending on where you live. Some states or provinces do not allow limitations on implied warranties or special, incidental, or consequential damages,
so the foregoing limitations may not apply to you.

The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved exten- sion cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appli- ance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit with this appliance.

Usage tips
• Most waffle recipes can be poured directly onto the non- |
stick waffle grids. Use a cooking spray for dessert waffles |
or any recipe with a lot of sugar. If your waffles start to |
stick, the grids may need to be scrubbed with a nylon |
brush to remove any cooked-on food particles. |
• Waffles can be made ahead of time and kept warm in |
a 200ºF (93ºC) oven. Or let them cool and pack in an airtight |

Utilisation

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION : Essuyer les grilles de couvercle et de fond avec un linge imbibé d’eau savonneuse. Rincer le linge et essuyer les grilles à nouveau. Essuyer ou brosser les grilles avec de l’huile végétale. Cette étape est recommandée avant la première utilisation seulement. Le brunissage s’améliorera au cours des lots subséquents.
