NAC-100 product is powered from an IEEE 802.3af compliant in- line power (ILP) source. The ILP combines DC power and data onto a single CAT-5e cable, which is connected to the NAC-100.
Figure 5: Single NAC-100 powered via IEEE 802.3af compliant ILP (power injection source). The NAC-100 is connected directly to a PC that hosts Venue Manager. This type of connection scheme is useful for off-line (off network) configuration of the NAC-100. Note that a “crossover” data communications cable may be required depending on the port properties of the PC and/or ILP in use.
