Manual Freewheel Lever

Foryourconvenience,yourpowerchairisequippedwith oneoftwomanualfreewheellevers.Seefigures5,5a,6,and6a.Theselevers allowyoutodisengagethedrivemotorsandmaneuverthechairmanually.

WARNING! Do not use your power chair while the drive motors are disengaged unless you are in the presence of an attendant! Do not disengage the drive motors when your power chair is on an incline. The chair could roll down on its own, causing injury!

CAUTION! It is important to remember that when your power chair is in freewheel mode, the braking system is disengaged.

To operate the manual freewheel lever (1400 and 1420):

1.Pull the manual freewheel lever out and rotate clockwise for freewheel mode (drive disengaged.) See figure 5.

2.Rotatethe manual freewheel lever counterclockwise for drive mode (drive motors engaged.) See figure 5a.

To operate the manual freewheel lever (1470):

1.Push the safety latch in and pull up the manual freewheel lever for freewheel mode (drive disengaged). See figure 6a.

2.Push the manual freewheel lever down for drive mode (drive engaged). See figure 6b.

NOTE: If the lever is difficult to move in either direction, rock your power chair back and forth slightly. The lever should then move to the desired position.
