BUTTONS AND FEATURES
ON/YES/NE W GAME – Press this button to tu rn
the unit ON. This button will also a llow you to
answer YES to a question or prompt. To start a
NEW GAME, press and hold this b utton until the
unit clears and a new game begin s.
NO – Use this button to answer “NO” to a ques tion.
SOMETIMES – Press this but ton to answer “de-
pends” or “maybe” to a question or prom pt.
RARELY – Press this button if the ques tion or
prompt “seldom” or “hardly ever” a pplies.
UNKNOWN – Press this button if th e question is
irrelevant or if the answer is UNKNOW N.
UNDO – This button will allow you to cha nge
your previous answer by going back to the p rior
question.
SOUND – Press this button to turn th e sound
ON or OFF. A high tone indicates SOUND is ON,
a low tone indicates when the sound has b een
turned OFF.
SCROLL BUTTONS – Use these two b uttons to
move forward or backward throug h the menu, or
to return to a previous section. Also, p ress the

ELEFT SCROLL button to increase t he speed of
the scrolling text, and press the R IGHT SCROLL
button to slow it down.
RESET – If the game begins to malf unction,
insert a blunt point and pres s the RESET button.
This action will RESET the game to it s original
settings.
SLEEP MODE – After 60 seco nds of inactivity,
the game will automatically shut d own, going
into SLEEP MODE. To turn it on again, simply
press the ON button and the game wi ll start
where you ended play.
LET’S BEGIN
Although you won’t win, I’ll tell you how to play
anyway!
Press the ON button to turn the unit on o r wake
the unit from SLEEP MODE. To start a new
game, press and hold the NEW GA ME button
until the current game clears . You will be asked
if you would like to play 20Q Music. If you press
YES, a game of 20Q Music will begin. If you
press NO, you will be asked if you would like to
play 20Q Sports. Once you decid e which game
you would like to play, think of anything related
to that topic. I will ask if you are READY to play.
If you’re ready, press the YES button to begin.
I will ask you a series of questions b efore I guess
what you’re thinking. However, I will always
begin with the same set of questio ns: Are you
a Person, Place, Thing or Unknown? T here are
two ways to answer the first four questio ns.
First, you can answer each questi on with YES
or NO as I advance to the next question. O r,
you can toggle between these four q uestions by
pressing the LEFT SCROLL or RI GHT SCROLL
buttons to identify the questi on that is correct
and answer YES.
When I ask the remaining questi ons, answer
honestly by pressing one of the an swer buttons
(YES, NO, SOMETIMES, RARELY, UNKNOWN).
If you answered a question incorr ectly, press the
UNDO button to return to the prior que stion. I
will try to guess what you are think ing before I
have asked 20 questions. However, I may ask
you a total of 20 questions. At this point, I wi ll
try to guess what you’re thinking. If I gue ss cor-
rectly, press the YES button. If for some s trange
reason I guess incorrectl y, I will ask you five
more questions then guess ag ain.
When I guess what you are thinking, I w in! If
all my guesses are wrong, you win. Bu t don’t
worry, that will never happen.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
This game is powered by two (2) A AA (LR03)
batteries.
• Us ing a screwdriver, loosen the screw unt il the
battery compartment d oor can be removed.
• Ins ert two (2) AA A (LR03) batter ies (we
recommend alkaline) as in dicated inside the
battery compartment .
• Re place the battery compa rtment door and
tighten the screw with a screwdriver. Do not
over-tighten.
