6.Set MONO/STEREO to STEREO for stereo sound or MONO for monaural sound.

Notes:

•If MONO/STEREO is set to STEREO and earphones/headphones are con- nected, STEREO appears on the dis- play when the radio receives an FM broadcast in stereo.

•The sound from the radio’s built-in speaker is always monaural. To hear the radio’s sound in stereo, you must use earphones/headphones.

•To improve reception of weak FM ste- reo stations, set MONO/STEREO to MONO. The sound is monaural, but the reception should improve.
