Note: The phone company can charge you for the instal- lation of the necessary jacks. The USOC number of the jack to be installed is RJ11C (RJ11W for a wall jack).

Press and hold down MUTE to carry on a con- versation with someone in the room without being overheard by the person on the phone.

Press to disconnect a call.

Switch to TONE or PULSE to match the type of service you have.

Press REDIAL to dial the last number dialed (up to 32 tone or pulse digits).

Plug the handset cord into the jacks on the handset and base.

This symbol is intended to inform you that parts inside the telephone present a risk of electric shock.

Set RINGER to sound or not to sound. You can make calls with the ringer off, and you can receive calls if you hear another phone on the same line ringing or see the phone’s lights flash.

Momentarily press RESET to end a call and get a new dial tone.

Press FLASH to produce a timed switch- hook signal for special services such as call waiting.

Note: If you do not subscribe to any spe- cial services, pressing FLASH might dis- connect the call.
