Damage — Unplug the surge protector from

the wall outlet and replace it:

a. When the power cord or plug is damaged.

rain or water.

d. If the surge protector has been dropped or

damaged in any way.

e. When the PROTECTED WHEN LIT

indicator goes out.

not light, your surge protector is not

grounded. You must reconnect it to a different

grounded, three-prong AC outlet.

1.Connect the TV antenna’s or cable box’s coaxial cable to the surge protector’s IN F-Connector.

2.Connect the surge protector’s OUT F- connector to your TV’s, VCR’s, or cable box’s IN connector using a coaxial cable with F-connectors at two ends (not supplied).

3.Connect the power cord of the equipment to be protected to one of the surge protector’s AC sockets.

4.Plug the surge protector into a three- prong standard grounded AC outlet. The plastic pin under the surge protector’s AC plug automatically inserts into the AC wall outlet’s bottom ground slot for secure mounting.

1.Plug the surge protector into a three- prong standard AC outlet. The PROTECTED WHEN LIT and GROUNDED WHEN LIT indicators light.

2.Plug the device(s) you want to protect into the AC socket(s). The connected device(s) are protected.

If either of the indicators do not light, see “Troubleshooting”.

Your surge protector is equipped with safety slide covers on each of its six AC sockets. Slide up the cover to cover each unused AC socket. Slide them down when you’re ready to use the sockets.

Your surge protector comes with pairs of indication tags to identify which device’s power cord is connected to which AC socket. Stick a large color tag on the power cord near the base of the device and the same color small tag next to the target surge protector’s AC socket.

Condition

The PROTECTED WHEN LIT indicator does not light.

Solution

The surge protector's AC line is no longer protected from surges; replace the surge protector. The surge protector may have received a power surge or spike beyond its specified limits that might overload the protection circuitry and make it inactive. If this happened, the surge protector should have absorbed enough of the surge to protect the
