PLACING THE BASE ON A DESK TOP
Follow these steps when you place the base on a desk, shelf, or table.

Channel Slots (bottom of base)
1Plug one end of the supplied long modular cord into the modu- lar cord jack on the back of the base.
2Route the modular cord through the channel slot on the bottom of the base.
3Insert the supplied AC adapter’s barrel plug into the POWER jack on the back of the base.
4Route the adapter’s cord through the other channel slot on the bottom of the base.
5Plug the modular cord’s other end into a modular phone line jack.
6Plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet.
7Fully extend the base’s antenna and raise it to a vertical posi- tion.
