
Playback
Still Playback Mode
Still playback pauses the tape, freezing a single frame on the display.
Activating Still Playback:
1.Press the Play/Pause Button ( / ) during playback to freeze the image.
2.To resume normal playback, press the Play/Pause Button again.
•If still playback continues for more than a few minutes, the camcorder’s stop mode is automatically engaged.
•After approximately five minutes in stop mode, the power turns off to conserve power.
•When the Play/Pause Button is pressed, the image may not freeze immediately. The camcorder takes a moment to stabilize the still image.
Shuttle Search
Allows
Activating Shuttle Search:
1.Press the ) or the Reverse Button (
) during playback.
2.To resume normal playback, press the Play/Pause Button ( / ).
•During playback, press and hold the Reverse () or Forward
() Button. The search continues as long as the button is held. Once released, normal playback resumes.
•A slight mosaic effect appears on screen during Shuttle Search. This is normal.
Allows
1.Press the Play/Pause Button ( / ) during playback to pause the image.
2.Rotate the MENU/BRIGHT dial towards + for forward
•To resume normal playback, press the Play/Pause Button ( / ).
Basic Connections
This manual includes information for some basic types of connections.
Displaying Camcorder Data on a Connected TV or VCR
•Date/Time: set DATE/TIME to ON or OFF in the DISPLAY menu.
•Time Code: set TIME CODE to ON or OFF in the DISPLAY menu.
•Playback Sound Mode, Tape Speed and Tape Running: set ON SCREEN to LCD or SIMPLE in the DISPLAY MENU.
Notes:
It is recommended to use the AC Adapter/ Charger as the power supply instead of the battery pack to achieve uniform playback.
Use the provided A/V Connection Cable, making sure to connect the end with a single plug to the camcorder.
Adjust the TV sound volume to its minimum level to avoid a sudden burst of sound when the camcorder is turned on.
If you have a TV or speakers that are not specially shielded, do not place the speakers next to the TV as interference will occur in the camcorder playback picture.
