PODADO DE UN SETO

Use correctamente la podadora de pértiga. Use siempre protección visual, guantes de goma y calzado robusto cuando use la podadora de pértiga. Mantenga siempre el equilibrio y la estabilidad en los pies y nunca se extienda demasiado cuando use la podadora. Antes de arrancar la podadora de pértiga, sostenga la unidad con ambas manos de las áreas de agarre.Asegúrese que la cuchilla cortante no toque en nada.

Mantenga siempre el cordón de extensión detrás de la podadora de pértiga cuando la use. No ponga el cordón sobre el seto donde podría cortarse con la cuchilla.

Utilice movimientos firmes de barrido para podar nuevos crecimientos. No trate de cortar demasiado a la vez. Esto hace que la poda- dora disminuya la velocidad o se atasque, reduciendo la eficiencia de corte.

Nofuercelapodadoradepértigaenvegetación densa. Un movimiento ligero de corte hacia atrás y adelante puede ayudar el corte de vegetación densa y grande. Si la podadora de pértiga empieza a bajar la velocidad, reduzca la velocidad a la cual está tratando de cortar.

Si la podadora de pértiga se atasca apáguela inmediatamente. Desconecte la podadora de la fuente de alimentación y retire de las cuchillas cortantes los residuos atascados.

No trate de cortar ramas de más de 3/4 pulgadas de diámetro.

Para mejores resultados, pode los lados de los setos con un movimiento de barrido hacia arriba. Pode los setos de modo que la parte superior sea ligeramente mas angosta que la inferior. Para podar setos muy a nivel, use como guía una cuerda estirada a lo largo de la longitud del seto (vea la Figura 17).
