TRIMMER/EDGER MAINTENANCE

CLEANING AND

MAINTENANCE

WARNING:

Remove battery before cleaning or servicing. Severe injury or death could occur from fire, elec- trical shock, or rotating string.

WARNING:

When cleaning trimmer/ edger:

Do not submerse in any liquids

Do not use products that contain Ammonia, Chlo- rine, or abrasives

Do not use chlorinated cleaning solvents, Carbon Tetrachloride,Kerosene,or Gasoline.

Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap and water mixture to wipe trimmer/edger housing. Do not spray or pour water directly onto trim- mer/edger.

Use a stiff bristled brush to clean air intake openings on housing (see Figure 31).

When not in use, store the trimmer/edger indoors in a dry location.

WARNING:

Use of non-Remington parts or accessories may cause personal injury or damage to the unit.
