8.Wind lines around spool in direction shown by arrow on spool top. Wind line until four inches of line remains outside the spool.

9.Thread exposed trimmer line into holes on spool housing. Replace spool onto spool spring and press spool down (see Figure 4-17).

10.Align tabs on spool cover with slots in spool housing. Replace spool cover onto spool housing and snap into place (see Figure 4-18).
