OPERATION
orbital action selector
See Figure 4.
Use the orbital action selector to select either a linear stroke or orbital cutting action. A linear stroke is best for making smooth cuts while orbital action is best for making a faster cut.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the tool, always allow motor to come to a complete stop before using the orbital action selector.
NOTE: Do not use the orbital action setting when using a metal cutting blade.
BASE (SHOE) ASSEMBLY
The reciprocating saw has a base (shoe) assembly that pivots up and down in both directions. The adjustable base allows for the use of the blade teeth at different positions on the blade.
To change positions of the base assembly
See Figure 5.
Unplug the saw.
Pull base assembly lock down to unlock base assembly.
Reposition base assembly as desired.
Push base assembly lock up completely against tool to lock base assembly in place.
TO INSTALL BLADE
See Figure 6.
Unplug the saw.
Lift and hold blade clamp lock/release lever located on side of saw.
Insert saw blade between blade clamp and saw bar.
Release blade clamp lever.
