•When boiling water, direct spout away from cabinets, walls, etc. to prevent pos- sible steam damage.
•Use kettle for heating water only. Do not add other liquids or foods to kettle as damage to kettle may occur.
•To prevent hot water from splashing out of spout when pouring, always unplug cord from electric outlet before pouring from kettle.
•Between uses, empty water from kettle to prevent
•Never fill kettle with any liquid other than water.
TO CLEAN
1.Unplug from outlet and allow to cool. Empty water from kettle.
2.Wipe exterior with a damp cloth and dry.
3.Occasionally clean whistle opening by inserting a cotton swab, pipe cleaner, or small tube into opening.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
1.Fill kettle with 1 cup white vinegar and 1 cup cold water.
2.Plug cord in outlet. Allow mixture to reach a boil.
3.Unplug and allow to stand for 30 minutes.
4.Drain kettle and rinse several times with cold tap water.
