Operating your radio FM

1.Turn on the radio by setting the speaker/on/off switch (4) to the “On” position.

2.For FM stereo reception set the waveband switch (2) to the “FM Stereo” position. When a station being received is in stereo the stereo indicator will light.

If the FM signal becomes weak or is accompanied by a high level of background hiss, you may select MONO mode by setting the switch to the “FM” position.

3.Adjust the volume control (1) to the desired level of sound. Rotating the control anti-clockwise will increase the sound level.

4.Slowlyrotatethetuningcontrol(5)untilthedialpointercorresponds to the frequency of the desired station. On FM the tuning scale is marked in Megahertz (MHz). The tuning indicator (6) will light up when a station is correctly tuned. Note : the tuning indicator may not light up when receiving a weak station or if the batteries are low.

5.For FM reception fully extend the earphone lead and position for best reception. When using the built in loudspeaker plug the pig tail aerial into the earphone socket as described on page 3.

6.To switch off your radio slide the speaker/on/off switch (4) to the “Off” position.

Note: Stereo is only available on FM and when using earphones.
