Additional Convenient Functionality <Advanced Operation>
The C-230 allows you to play up to three harpsichord sounds simultaneously, creating a richer sound.
1. Simultaneously press the Harpsichord buttons for the
sounds you want to layer, making their indicators light. You can’t layer a harpsichord sound with an ORGAN,
Fortepiano or Others sound.
You cannot use four harpsichord sound simultaneously.
2. To return to only one harpsichord sound, press only the
desired Harpsichord button.
■Adjusting the noise volume for
strong keystrokes
This function is only available for the four Harpsichord
sounds (8’ I, 8’ II, 4’ and Lute) and the Fortepiano II
sound.
◆While holding down the [Temperament] button, turn
the [Volume] knob to adjust the volume of the noise
produced by strong keystrokes.
*The noise will be at the standard level when the knob is at the 2
o’clock position.
*Once the power is switched off, the instrument reverts to the
standard noise level.
■Adjusting the noise volume for key
releases
This function is only available for the four Harpsichord
sounds (8’ I, 8’ II, 4’ and Lute).
◆While holding down the [Temperament] button, turn
the [Reverb] knob to adjust the volume of the noise
heard when you release a key.
*The noise will be at the standard level when the knob is at the 2
o’clock position.
*The noise volume setting will be remembered until you switch
off the C-230. If you want to use it each time you press this tab
even after switching the C-230 off and back on, save your
settings in the C-230’s Global area (see p. 30).
