Using this unit in connection with VS series

About limitation of functions

There are some limitation of functions if this unit is used in connection with Roland VS series.

The following jacks, knobs or button will not be used

Headphone jack

Volume Control knob

Play Button

Audio Output jacks

Writing Speed

Writing speed to CD-R discs is limited to “x1” or “x4.” Writing speed to CD-RW discs is limited to “x2” or “x4.”

Reading Speed

Even if the reading speed is set to “x4” or “x8,” the time it takes is not always 1/4 or 1/8 of the original. This is because writing speed to the internal hard disk or errors during disc reading.

Readable Format

It is limited to “CD-ROM Mode-1” or “CD-DA.”

Recordable Format

It is limited to “CD-ROM Mode-1” or “CD-DA.”

Recording Mode

It is limited to “Track at Once” or “Disc at Once.”

About the CDR-88RW-4’s SCSI Number Setting

SCSI ID number of CDR-88RW-4 must be different from it of Roland VS series itself. The default SCSI ID number of CDR-88RW-4 is “4.”
