7.8 Melody Intelligence

The Arranger of your KR-3 can not only play chords but also a counter-melody based on the chords you play in the chord recognition area. This counter-melody will be added to the Upper part.

1.Press the [MELODY INTELLIGENCE] button to switch Melody Intelligence on (indicator lights) and off.

When you press the button and the indicator lights, harmony voices will be added to your melody. A screen like the one shown below will be displayed.

2.Use the buttons next to the display to select a Mel- ody Intelligence type.

There are five pages you can select with <√√PAGE> and <PAGE®®>. Select the type you need for the song you want to play:

After several seconds, the previous screen will return to the display.

Note: When “Full Auto” or “Tempo Lock” has been selected

(see “Auto: changing the Arranger defaults”), the type of Melody Intelligence that is set may vary according to the Style.

Note: Please note that not all harmony voices will be played at all times, which is usually due to the fact that you play extremely high or low notes.
