GROUNDED PLUG

To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug (2 blades and 1 pin). If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1.Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

2.Remove all packaging.

3.Water boiled for the first time should be discarded.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

1.Open Lid and fill the Kettle through the Lid opening, with a minimum of 0.25 litres (1 cup) of water. (MIN level)

NOTE:

DO NOT attempt to fill while the Kettle is on the Power Base.

DO NOT use for other than boiling water. Other liquids will contaminate the interior of the Kettle.

DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated on the side of the handle. Overfilling may cause water to spill out when boiling.

2.Place Kettle on Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its Base.

3.Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.

NOTE: Never plug Power Base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.

4.Depress the On/Off Switch to the ‘On’ position (I). Once the water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will automatically switch to the ‘Off’ position (0). If you want to cancel the boil cycle, lift the kettle off the base or raise the On/Off switch to the Off position (0).

5.If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch to cool down for 15 – 20 seconds then depress the On/Off Switch to the ‘On’ position. If the On/Off Switch does not remain in the ‘On’ position, the Water is hot enough to use without reheating.

6.Unplug cord from wall outlet before lifting Kettle from Power Base. Grip the Kettle by the Handle only, as the surface and lid will be hot.
