The manual search allows you to select your home

network only.

If you wish to select a network other than your home network,
see the page opposite.
1. In Standby mode, press MENUto
enter the menu system.
Result:
The first menu appears.
2. Press 5, 1to display the Network
Modesub-menu status.

Result:
The following indications are

network name is displayed.

Result:
Searchingis displayed.
• The phone switches to Standby
mode and the selected network
name is displayed.

If you wish to use your cellular phone abroad and have modified
your network list, you must select a foreign GSM network. You can
only select a GSM network cooperating with your home network
(see your network operator to obtain a list). The phone can reach
other networks for emergency calls only. In automatic mode, the
phone selects:
Your home network first
or
The first network in your network list if the home network is not
available (see page 60), then the other ones in turn
1. In Standby mode, press MENUto
enter the menu system.
Result:
The first menu appears.
2. Press 5, 1to display the Network
Modesub-menu status.
3. Select Autoby pressing or .
4. Press .
Result:
The phone scans for the first
available network (home network,
first one declared in the network list
and so on)
If neither your home network nor
any of those declared in the
network list are available, the
phone then automatically tries to
register to another one coope-
rating with your home network.
