Hvad er billedbebeholdelse?

Under normal betjening af et LCD-panel forekommer der ingen bibeholdelse af pixelbilleder. Hvis det samme billede vises i længere tid, akkumuleres en lille forskel i den elektriske ladning dog mellem de to elektroder, der omslutter de flydende krystaller.
