Fotode säritust saab reguleerida ava väärtuse ja säriajaga. Neid valikuid saab kasutada režiimides Avaprioriteet, Säriprioriteet ja Käsitsi.

Ava väärtus

Ava on auk, mille kaudu siseneb valgus. Ava väärtuse reguleerimise teel saate muuta valguse hulka, mis pildistamisel objektiivi jõuab. Ava väärtuse vähendamisel (ava suurendamisel), siseneb valgust rohkem ja kaugemal asuvad objektid on fookusest väljas. See sobib hästi lähi- ja portreevõtetele, et tähelepanu peamisele objektile tõmmata.

Kui aga ava väärtust suurendate, on nii lähedal kui ka kaugel asuvad objektid teravad. See sobib hästi maastikufotodele, et näidata tervet pilti teravana.

Säriaeg

Säriajaga saab määrata, kui kauaks jääb kaamera katik pildi tegemise ajal avatuks. Säriaja suurendamisel siseneb kaamerasse rohkem valgust ja foto on heledam. Samas võib pikem säriaeg muuta fotod uduseks, kui kaamera või objekt liigub.

Säriaja vähendamisel on foto tumedam. Lühem säriaeg võib aga objekti või kaamera liikumise korral tekkivad udusust vähendada.
