La card di memoria SD/SDHC ha un interruttore di protezione scrittura che protegge le immagini in caso di eliminazione o formattazone. Facendo scorrere verso il basso la linguetta di protezione dalla card SD/SDHC, i dati saranno protetti. Facendo scorrere la linguetta verso l'altro della card di memoria SD/ SDHC, la protezione dei dati verrà annullata. Far scorrere l'interruttore nella parte superiore della card di memoria SD di scattare una foto.

Con schede di memoria MMC da 256MB, le capacità di ripresa saranno le seguenti. Questi valori sono approssimativi in quanto le capacità dipendono da variabili come il soggetto e il tipo di card di memoria.
