Kun painat suljinpainiketta valittuasi salamavalon, salamavalo välähtää ensimmäisen kerran kuvausolosuhteiden tarkistamiseksi (salamavalon kantomatka ja teho). Älä liikuta kameraa ennen salamavalon välähtämistä uudelleen.

Salamavalon toistuva käyttäminen vähentää akun kestoaikaa. Tavallisesti salamavalo latautuu alle 4 sekunnissa. Jos akussa on enää vähän virtaa, latautumisaika on pidempi.

Salamavalo ei toimi DIS-tilassa eikä [Maisema]-, [Lähikuva]-, [Teksti]-, [Aur.Lask]-, [Aamuhäm]- eikä [Ilotulitus]-aihetiloissa eikä kuvattaessa elokuvaleikettä.

Varmista, että kohde on salamavalon valaisemalla alueella. Kuvan laatu saattaa huonontua, jos kohde on liian lähellä tai heijastaa voimakkaasti

Kun otat kuvaa salamavalon avulla huonossa valaistuksessa, kuvaan voi tulla valkoisia pilkkuja. Ne johtuvat salamavalon heijastumisesta ilmassa leijuvista hiukkasista.
