SD/SDHC-mälukaardil on kirjutuskaitse lüliti, mis väldib olukorda, kus pildifailid kustutatakse või vormindatakse. Lüliti libistamisel SD/SDHC-mälukaardi allserva on andmed kaitstud. Lüliti libis- tamisel SD/SDHC-mälukaardi ülaserva tühistatakse andmete kaitsmine.

Libistage lüliti enne pildi tegemist SD/SDHC-mälukaardi ülaserva.

All on toodud ülesvõtete arv, kui kasutate 1 GB SD-mälukaarti. Need andmed on umbkaudsed, kuna pildi kvaliteeti võivad mõjutada sellised muutujad, nagu pildistatav objekt ning mälukaardi tüüp.
