Padidinus skyrą nuotraukoje ir vaizdo įraše bus daugiau pikselių, todėl juos bus galima spausdinti ant didesnio popieriaus lapo arba parodyti didesniame ekrane. Kai naudojate didžiausią skyrą, rinkmenos dydis taip pat padidėja.
