•Sorozat*: Ezt kiválasztva a fájlok számozása új memóriakártya behelyezése, a memóriakártya formázása vagy az összes fájl törlése után az előző számtól folytatódik.

•Az első mappa alapértelmezett neve 100PHOTO, az első fájlé SAM_0001.

•Minden fénykép vagy videó készítésekor a fájl számozása egyesével növekszik SAM_0001 - SAM_9999 között.

•A mappanevekben a számok egyesével nőnek 100PHOTO-tól 999PHOTO-ig.

•Egy mappában legfeljebb 9999 fájl lehet.

•A fájlnevek kiosztása a DCF szabvány (Digital rule for Camera File system, fényképezőgép-fájlrendszerek tervezési szabálya) alapján történik. Ha szándékosan megváltoztatja a fájlneveket, előfordulhat, hogy a fényképezőgép nem tudja lejátszani a fájlokat.
