Blændeværdi

Blænden er et hul, som lyset kommer ind ad. Du kan justere blændeværdien for at kontrollere hvor meget lys, der når objektivet, når du tager et billede. Ved at sænke blændeværdien (ved at åbne blænden mere) vil der komme mere lys ind, og genstande, der er længere væk, vil synes ude af fokus. Dette er godt til nærbilleder eller portrætter, da opmærksomheden henledes på hovedmotivet.

Alternativt kan du øge blændeværdien, så genstande fra nær til langt væk er i skarp fokus. Dette er godt til landskabsbilleder for at vise hele scenens omfang.

Lukkehastighed

Lukkehastigheden kontrollerer, hvor lang tid kameraets lukker forbliver åben, når du tager et billede. Når du sænker lukkehastigheden, vil der komme mere lys ind i dit kamera og billedet vil synes lysere. Når du øger lukkehastigheden, vil billedet synes mørkere.
